We are thrilled to announce a transformative partnership between the MILE Organization for Environmental Protection and the CCAC, with the support of the UNEP. This collaboration, formalized through a funding agreement, will help advance the Iraqi Ministry of Environment’s efforts to implement the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) Action Plan and Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMA) within the waste sector.

Over the next 18 months, this initiative will focus on developing a comprehensive waste sector strategy, aimed at building the capacity of government agencies to effectively manage and reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (SLCPs). Through this partnership, the MILE Organization is reaffirming its commitment to promoting environmental sustainability, driving economic growth, and improving public health in Iraq. Together, we will work to achieve significant environmental and societal benefits, demonstrating our proactive approach to addressing global environmental challenges and fostering a more sustainable future.
