During January 2025, MILE CEO Isam Ghareeb met with the CCAC-UNEP team in Paris, including the Program Manager Camille Tahon and key CCAC staff. The discussions focused on:

• Progress of Waste Management Projects in Iraq
• Challenges & findings on Methane & Black Carbon emissions
• Coordination with the Ministry of Environment & CCAC consultants in Baghdad
• Key recommendations to support Iraq’s NDC & reduce GHG emissions from the waste sector
