- The first Head of the Department of Prosthetics & Orthotics in the country in 1985 at the Medical Technical Institute in Bab Al Moadam in Baghdad.
- Head of the department of engineering in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the period 1994-1998.
- Started humanitarian work with the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) in 1998 as a field officer supervising different rehabilitation centers providing prosthetic and orthotic fitting in different governorates (Mosul, Basrah, Baghdad, Najaf and Erbil).
- Served as an expert in this field abroad, where he spent four years working with ICRC in Afghanistan 2007-2010 and one year in Yemen with World Bank to establish a rehabilitation center in Al Mukalla and train the personnel working in that center.
- Holds an M.Sc. degree in Bio-Mechanic Engineering from the University of Manchester (UMIST) in the UK in 1984.
- Currently working as a Consultant in Prosthetics & Orthotics with the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) and teaching at Erbil Polytechnic University in Erbil Health Medical Technical College.
