Project’s Goal
- Volunteer Registration: Through this project, the MILE Organization aims to build a digital database to register graduates from environmental-related fields who are interested in volunteering for future environmental projects.
- Engagement and Development: Identify and engage volunteers from various geographic areas across Iraq, focusing on their experience and capabilities to contribute to environmental protection and climate change mitigation by sharing information on the environmental situation.
- Training and Capacity Building: Provide training and development programs for volunteers in coordination with the Directorate of Climate Change in the Ministry of Environment and civil society organizations (specializing in the environment), equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills related to climate change and implementing environmental protection initiatives.
- Advocacy and Job Placement Assistance: Assist trained volunteers in finding employment within their fields of expertise by coordinating with organizations involved in environmental projects based on their experience and organizational needs, and according to geographic locations.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Strengthen effective and robust cooperation between MILE Organization, the Ministry of Environment, and other stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of climate change mitigation and environmental protection efforts.
- Sustainable Impact: Ensure that volunteers contribute to long-term environmental protection and increase Iraq’s ability to adapt to climate changes through ongoing support and involvement in current and future projects, working in collaboration with local authorities.
